Music
On Ireland’s western edge, music is as natural as the wind off the Atlantic.
I discovered folk fiddle in my late 20's after listening to the Bothy Band, since when I've dedicated myself to learning it.
I've performed with various bands over the last 30 years, including at several Glastonbury and WOMAD festivals and now, locally, at hotel's and pubs around Kenmare ... and I'm still astonished at how similar horse riding and fiddle playing are, how both require the same mental and physical state that can engender a similar bliss.
The music lead me eventually to move to Ireland where I've played and taught professionally for over two decades.

Here is a link to our band - blackmailed & bereft. I hope you enjoy the music.

This is a sculpture of my dear friend Martin Kraut who for many years played fiddle with us when our trio, blackmailed & bereft did our 2 gigs a week in town. He joined us for every gig, never for money, just for the fun of it.
