Gill Newlyn Sculpture
Capturing character in Bronze, Polymer Clay and Metal-Infused Resin. Handcrafted in Kenmare, along the Wild Atlantic Way.

"Art from the heart sums up the power and delicacy of Gill Newlyn's work. Each sculpture is born from pure emotion and deep intuition, as if the heart guides the hand. Her works are felt with rare sincerity.
It is not just art, it is a connection and perhaps that is why her pieces touch us so deeply.
Owning a sculpture by Gill Newlyn is much more than acquiring an object of art: it is welcoming a presence into one's space. Her pieces are not mere decorations; they become silent companions, guardians of stories."

"Gill makes incredibly lovely little sculptures of horses, donkeys, cats and humans. They are so exquisite because they are each full of life, warmth and character.
Looking at them is like looking at a friend."

The Process
I'm often asked how I make these sculptures, what materials I use and how I cure the clay.

The process is very simple, the materials are cheap and easy to access and if you've got an oven, you can make them too.
Here's how:

Beyond the Clay
When I am not at the workbench you will find me with my fiddle, learning a tune, rehearsing a set or doing a gig with my husband Chris, and our dear friend, Anita, in our 15 year old band, blackmailed & bereft.
