Gill created this exquisite sculpture of "Bernie" who sits on my Windowsill while I make coffee each morning so we can have a discussion about the state of the nation!
A remarkedly perfect replica of him during the pandemic with his mittens and mask and green parka, green since he represents the green state of Vermont! There he sits with his legs crossed keeping warm and I vision him listening and ready to speak while campaigning in the frigid wintertime!
Truly an icon in this day and age with tremendous perspective!

As a consolation for my dashed hopes when Soyinka was not elected as Oxford Professor of Poetry, it works beautifully. Standing just beside my desk, it reminds me every day of his inspiring eloquence. I love every detail in the minutely crafted piece -- his defiant stance at the lectern, his tiny steel-rimmed spectacles, his glorious halo of silver hair. 'I commissioned Gill to sculpt a miniature of my village house in Granada, Spain, and I was thrilled when I received my casita. It was like all the work we had put in to renovating the house was repeated in Gill's little sculpture. Here, the delight is in the detail!
... the front door curtain, the little ceramic tile with the house number, the wooden shutters, even the door of the electric box! Everything was sculpted precisely to scale and she even included the missing brick on the corner of the house.
Her incredible ability to fashion clay into wood, ceramic, metal and stone is uncanny. Gill captured the little Andalusian soul of the house and I couldn't have been happier with the result'.

'I grew up in a household that always seemed to have a pair of cats scampering through the chaos. Their beauty and mischief making are woven throughout my childhood memories with great clarity and affection
So when I was gifted this pair of felines, I was struck by the depth of the sculptors observation and their ability to reveal the lightness and innate grace of these exquisite creatures.
Anyone who has lived with and loved cats will recognize the fleeting moment held by each pose. Their two forms balance and compliment the other. Serene and unhurried. Quizzical and deeply content. In other words, they are the very essence of a cat: Pleased and pleasing.

On August 11, 2021 I received my Bernie Sanders! This small sculpture of Bernie, inspired by his memorable appearance at the presidential inauguration-seated in the cold with his signature mittens- is a remarkable work of art. The craftsmanship is exceptional, capturing both the likes and spirit of the moment with impressive accuracy and fine detail. Bernie was shipped from Kenmare, Ireland to Centreville, Virginia and arrived in pristine condition.
An added highlight was that it required a donation to UNICEF to purchase Bernie. I donated 100 euros to UNICEF making this sculpture not only a delightful collectible but also a purchase with a wonderful blend of art, humor and purpose!

Golden Violin
I received this exquisite miniature golden violin as a gift after my real violin was accidentally run over by a car. The piece arrived in an elegant box and is crafted with remarkable attention to detail.
